The Prelude was starting to show it's age and I would've had to start putting a lot of money on it to keep it as a daily driver so I decided it was time to get a new daily driver. I wanted something sporty with enough power and I was also hoping to find something RWD this time. My options were pretty limited since most cars that had all the stuff I wanted were a bit above my budget.

So here came the Genesis, V6 engine with around 300HP, RWD, 6 speed, Brembo brakes, fully equip, and when I say fully equip, it really is fully equip, sat nav, iPod connector, XM Radio, heated leather seats, wireless smart keys, etc. Basically the only things you don't get in this car are the options like automatic parallel parking, adaptive cruise control, and the like that you only find in much pricier cars. I've had the car since April and so far there are only a few things here and there that I don't like and one thing I really think is a "Bad Idea" and by that I mean the reverse on the manual transmission, it's way too easy to put it in reverse when you want to put it in first gear and I'm afraid one day I'll back up on someone else's car or something.

But the car is really nice to drive, did a trip of almost 2000 km last weekend and on the highway is where the car really shows it's purpose, it has good power to pass slow cars, corners really well and those Brembo brakes stops the car when you need them too. It does have all the ingredient to make it a great car but only time well tell if Hyundai got the recipe right.
